The iste will undergo some changes and improvements over the next few weeks... I've noticed a lot of 'holes' with the site and they do need redoing. So, as a result, the site *may* be down for a short period. This forum will remain up though (this will not undergo any changes) so please check back here to find out what is happening.

Well... I've been maing some progresss with the site... but first 'The story so far... (Ladyfox knows much of this already)'

When I first redesgined the site... I did it from sractch on my laptop. The primary browser is IE and so looking at the site... it looked fine. However, Mozilla Firefox interpreted the site differently and so there was a nasty gltich in the site. Any 2 lines of text had double spacing in it. This makes the site look pretty bad. So I decided to use the current sites html and modifed it heavily. However, today, I came across the double spacing problem again... so I decided to check out the difference in the HTML between the two index pages.

I evenutally discovered the difference. In the new index page... I found this:
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN">

I don't know the actual meaning of this but my interpretation of this is that it tells the broswer how to interpret the HTML. So, I changed this to this:
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

This solved the problem so thats the history of the new site.
